Getting to Gay Gran Canaria and Getting Around

The airport on the island is known as Gran Canaria Las Palmas Airport and is one of the busiest ihn Europe.

The airport is situated on the east coast of the island, 10 miles (16 km) south of Las Palmas.

Getting to the city:

Most tour operators arrange transport for their clients. For those that don't, there is a taxi rank at the airport and frequent bus services between to Las Palmas and other towns on the island.

There are plenty of cheap, metered taxis available in all resorts and towns.

Grand Canaria also has reliable and efficient bus services which operate around the resorts and to all the main towns on the island; there is nowhere on the island that takes much longer than an hour to get to by bus. Check out the bus timetables from the airport to the resorts here.
