Valentines (second floor, Yumbo Center) is a highly recommended, internationally and locally renowned restaurant that's open daily from 7pm. They serve inspired meals of local fresh fish and meat as well as pastas and sauces from their own, very creative chefs. Tip: Try their superb Monkfish Salbimbocca.
Restaurante Miramaryumbo, on this same level, is open from 10am serving breakfast early and then international fare until 11pm.
For those willing to venture out a bit, there's Restaurante Tagoror (Montaya Las Tierras 21, Ingenio; +34-928-17-2013). Set in the mountains in this Guanchen Village, they offer authentic Canarian food and entertainment. You can book a table through your hotel or tour operator, or call them direct.
Mundo (Avenida de Tirajana, Aptos. Tenesor, 34-928-761-063) is not only one of the best restaurants on the island but one of the queerest, with excellent fish entrées and a classy black-and-red motif interior. In Las Palmas, La Marinera (Paseo de las Canteras, 34-928-46-1515) is a casual yet sophisticated open-air eatery right on the point overlooking Playa de las Canteras. Located at the end of the dramatic winding valley Montana Las Tierras, Tagoror (34-928-17-2013) serves hearty island peasant food with a side of great views.
